Which tool of Cadence does (block) placement (floorplanning)?

Hello, everyone,
First of all sorry to trouble you.
Someone here can tell me which tool of Cadence does (block) placement
(floorplanning)? I know I can use Preview to group components into
groups or regions. But I don't know which tool of Cadence I need to
choose for automatic (not manually) (block) placement (floorplanning).
I guess maybe Qplace is used for placement. But can Qplace do
automatic (not manually) (block) placement. I have used Silicon Ensemble
for automatic placement and routing but I'm not aware that Qplace can do
automatic (not manually) (block) placement.
Someone here could give me with some information? Thank you by
advance.

  Best wishes,

  Raofeng

Hi Yu,

I don't know if this will help you, but lets give it a try.
I also have the problem with placing (memory) Blocks on my layout in Silicon
Ensemble, so I moved them manually after "FINIT FLOORPLAN" and than I
generated a "MakeFile" out of my "LogFile" (only the MOVE section of the
"LogFile"). If your manual movement wasn't that accurate, you can edit that
file.
After all one Problem stays on: If you have to place the Blocks in the
corners of you layout, and the size of you layout will change (due to row
utilization change, etc.) than you have to move them again by hand, BUT then
you only have to move the groupe(s) of blocks to the corners(s).

Regards
Ralf
