How do I fit a 3.5" drive?

Post by Dawn » Sat, 27 Apr 1996 04:00:00

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if and how I can fit a 3.5" drive to an Amstrad 8256
or 8512 please.

I remember seeing some instructions in an Amstrad magazine, but can't
remember which one!

Thanks in advance.

Unless you know what you're doing, you really need to buy a kit that has
been designed to be fitted to the PCW, because the connector on the back
of the PCW's drives is not standard. The best place to loom for
information on how to get one is by following the URL:

http://www.cus.umist.ac.uk/~octopus/transfer.html

This gives addresses for all the companies that I know of who make such a
kit.

Cheers,
Jake.

In particular we do! In the next issue of PCW Plus there's a photo walk
through fitting it. Buy PCW Plus from future publishing on 01225 442244,
buy the disc drive from us on . . .
