Position Responsibilities Summary
Global Credit Trading IT (ABS/CDO& CSG) supports several business lines
including ABS and CDO secondary trading, Structured Finance and Special
Situation Group within the firm s Global Markets. The group supports a
number of internally developed and vendor products used by the front office,
BAC and other groups in the Firm.
The position is a senior development role in GCT IT (ABS/CDO& CSG). The
group is looking for a strong results-driven individual with a broad
technical background and good analytical and problem solving skills. The
person will play a critical role in supporting the business, working with
the dev team on development of analytics and trading tools for Front Office.
The person should be capable of independently conducting all phases of the
project lifecycle including analysis, design, development and system
support. The person should be able to work independently, multitask and work
on multiple projects; direct interaction with the business users (traders /
middle office /etc) is required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 3 years of experience as an application developer within a
front office trading or risk management environment in financial services
industry is a must
Minimum 5 years working as a Senior developer within IT
development group is must
Strong knowledge of and experience in Java/J2EE, Weblogic/Tomcat,
JMS, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux; MS Excel and VBA; C# or C/C++ is a
plus
Experience in developing service oriented architectures and web
services, including XML and J2EE
Experience of messaging and asynchronous programming models in
distributed systems, including JMS implementations
Knowledge of structured products, such as ABS, CDO and CDS is a
big plus
Knowledge of Bloomberg anywhere and Intex Desktop is a big plus
Experience with Grid computing is a big plus
Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering is a
plus
Individual must be proficient in all aspects of data modeling,
database design, system architecture, and optimization techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to resolve functional & technical issues independently
BA/BS or MS in CS or related field
