Hi there,

Did anyone ever make PB 3.0 application work on top of OS/2? I
have heard that PB 3.0 application worked on old OS/2 2.0 but no
luck with OS/2 WARP.

Can you share some lights?

Thank you in advance.

I did. It worked fine (Assuming you have plentyof RAM). I installed OS2 Warp normally and
added the windowsinterface. Powerbuilder works fine, watcom is ok and the app is great

Yep, no problems except for the odd complaint if you store the db & log on a
non-FAT formated disk partition - but it doesn't realy seem to cause hassels.

I haven't actually tried to run a final application in it - I must admit I'm
not to impressed with WARP and normally just use DOS but I'm quite keen to try
out PB4 which is surposed to be portable to OS/2 (or so I'm lead to believe).

How fast does it run comparing to Windows 3.11?

We've been using PB3 on OS2 for about a year now, and PB4 for about a
month.  Neither PB3 or PB4 run on top of OS/2 - you run them out of
Win-OS/2 window.

That it works is about all I can say.  Whenever we encounter a GPF or
a system crash we play the old "is it PB/Windows/Win-OS/2/OS/2 or
something else game".

No data on performance vs. native windows.  If anyone has any info,
I'd love to hear (read) it.

1. Keeping my PB application on top

Hi,

I am writing an application that runs other Windows executables.  The problem I
am having is that my application goes to the bottom of all other applications that
I happen to be running when the application terminates.  For example, the Program
Manager maximizes itself when the application (e.g. Authorware) ends. Ideally, I
would like my application to stay up on top when Authorware finishes.

Has anybody run into this problem before?  If you have, could you help me out?
