Scotty errors...

Scotty errors...

Post by Matthew Boyl » Wed, 16 Aug 2000 04:00:00

I'm looking for some documentation that would help me debug errors in a
script I'm writting using SNMP Scotty.  Can someone tell me where I can
find out what some errors mean?

More specifically, I'm seeing the following message and I have no idea
what to do next:
            "unknown asn1 type 0x10"

Thanks.

This means that there's an 0x10 in the BER where the type of the
object in a varbind would usually be. 0x10 isn't a valid type.

Do you have a  sniffer handy? I can't think where this would result from
something leaving the device running scotty. It's probably a bad PDU coming
back in.

Other than that,
