They do.  I like 'em both.

Scotty development is at a higher level.  Your question
is (very) roughly equivalent to asking whether you should
program in C or Tcl.  The answer, of course, is both,
depending on your circumstances.

In the absence of any other information, I recommend Scotty.

just want verify agent side implementation. such as set new
OID variable; get correct OID variable and receive correct
trip and do a regession snmp OID test.
make sure agent side no problem before setup/build  NMS.
What do you think use UC Davis (snmpwalk/set/get) with Tcl
 or Scotty?

I recommend Scotty--based on the information you've supplied.

1. Problems using UC Davis - conquest Library

Hi all,

I am planning to use UC Davis - Conquest Library. As I am planning to
use it on MS Windows platform, I spent some time looking up the
documentation to understand the class design and feel Mr Mark Hoskin
has done an excellent job on all fronts.

However, when I tried to run test.exe with simple dump optionfrom
command option in windiows. It returned error saying "Cannot find the
file "D:\DicomLib140". Make sure pathname is correct and all required
librarie\s have been included.

Afterwards, following is the is the procedure I followed to recompile
it again :

First, I have run makefile to sort out any dependancy problems. I used
"nmake -f ..\DicomLib140\makefile" from MS Windows "run" window
available at start menu.

On compilation it returned a C2146 and C2501 error regarding declation
of UINT32 uniq()in util.h . thus my attempt to build the library again
failed.

Please help me sort out either of these problems so that I can test
this library.

Is there a later version of this library available with proper
documentation??

Regards,

Suhas Walanjoo
