SLIP/PPP latency on new faster modems

SLIP/PPP latency on new faster modems

Post by Edward Vielmet » Thu, 06 Jan 1994 13:03:27

Does anyone have figures on how the new crop of fast modems
behaves with applications that have lots of packets going
back and forth (like SLIP or PPP)?  Fans of modems throughout
the years have experienced several pieces of fine equipment
that work well with data flowing in one direction and that
fall apart totally when faced with two-way traffic.

thanks
