New to QNX Installation Problems, I know the problem, just don't have a solution

Hi all

Hope somebody can help me out, I have a sony vaio PCG-U3 laptop which
has no CD-Rom built in.  If I boot off the firewire CD-ROm I get to
the point where it attempts to create and format the partiiton and
then I get no further.  I get the same message others have had with
reference to SCSI drives.

Now, the problem is, as you have gathered, I have no way of installing
QNX, I know it'll work once installed, but I haven't a clue where to
go from here.

Is there anyway to copy the CD contents to HDD and use the bootdisk to
launch the installer from there or something along those lines?

If anybody has any suggestiosn I'd be very grateful.  I have an
external floppy drive too, so perhaps there is a way to utilise that
to put a bare bones QNX on and then install the packages seperately.

Best wishes

Jody

1. a ram stick problem or s/w prob don't know

i'm facing a problem
about the new RAM which i recently attached actualy after addind the
RAM(SDRAM 128/133) i'm having frequent hang's in my WIN98 SE which i
think is due to RAM , but i heard that if a RAM is not ok the system
will not even boot up but my system boot's correctly but is sometimes
hanged while startup or shutdown of WIN, i was planing to change the
RAM but I'm not sure that problem is due to RAM cause i installed some
softwares at the same day before adding the RAm & i'm not sure the
prob is due to RAM or S/W . What i wanna ask is it's necessary that if
a peice of RAM is not
ok can the system boot properly & can my problem be due to RAM .
