I have PDF copies of the SEI documents TR-24 ("Capability Maturity
Model for Software Version 1.1") and TR-25 ("Key Practices of the
Capability Maturity Model Version 1.1")., downloaded from the SEI
There is also a book by Mark C. Paulk et al entitled "The Capability
Maturity Model: Guidelines for Improving the Software Process", which
claims to contain verbatim copies of TR-24 and TR-25, with "additional
information", and costs something in excess of $60.
My question is, is there enough additional material in the book,
beyond what is contained in TR-24 and TR-25, that makes it worth
spending the money to get?
My background is that I am an experienced software engineer, with a
background in regulated industries (medical, avionics, military), but
a newbie at SEI CMM.
