OLEAUT32.DLL error message

OLEAUT32.DLL error message

Post by Mark Lawrenc » Tue, 06 May 2003 20:47:15

When trying to log on to Messenger the following error message pops up; "C:\
Program files\MSN messenger\msnmsge.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning"

This then brings in another error box : The MSNMSGR.EXE. file is linked to
missing export OLEAUT32.DLL:314"

I have tried removing and re-loading software 3 times without any success.
Any ideas?
TIA
Mark

1. ERROR oleaut32.dll

Greetings,

Are you sure it's saying the file doesn't exist?  If it's saying:
"The ordinal 314 could not be located in the dynamic link library OLEAUT32.dll"

This just means that you have the wrong version of it.  Which version of Windows are you
using?  If you haven't already, you may need to upgrade to the latest version of Internet
Explorer to fix this problem:
