Hi Noam,

You'll need to utilize JavaScript for that. Any of the JavaScript sites at http://www.websunlimited.com/resources.asp should have it.

You may also wish to take a look at J-Bots Image Components SlideShow or Pages-n-Stages

You can use the PhotoGallery component, but it won't allow you to
automatically changes images.  There are plenty of free Javascripts
available that will do this however.

Hi Mike,
Dumb question....
couldn't you do it with meta refresh tags and by also making the image a clickable link?? ( for the impatient folks )

Just wondering.

Sure, but that is normally not a slide show in the classic sense as it requires a trip to the server to get the next page. Slide shows normally just change the image or content in the current page.

I personally prefer a round-trip to the server since preloading an abundance of images causes a significant delay before the user can interact with the page.

JimCo Addins,

I'm sorry but I was mistaken. Slide Show does not preload the images. But you can use the preloader if you wish to. It is a part of the package that you purchased from us.

Noam:

Check these out:

IrfanView -- http://www.irfanview.com -- makes slideshows for Web, screen
savers, CDs, etc.  Here's a page I made in less than five minutes to test
IrfanView: http://www.johnblaustein.com/irfanXX/ -- I put the pre-sized,
full-sized JPGs in a folder, clicked about four times and the whole thing
was done.  The installation program puts all files into one folder -- no
DLLs, no registry entries, no hassle.  The Web gallery is also created
automatically into one folder, with all necessary files.  Simply create a
folder in your FP Web and point IrfanView to that folder.  How easy is that?
Bonus -- IrfanView is FREE.

http://www.digitalphotoslideshow.com/ -- the online demo looks good, though
I have not used it -- $20.00

http://www.cerious.com/ -- ThumbsPlus -- top rated image manager with Web
gallery function
