Confirmation pages/ Form properties

Confirmation pages/ Form properties

Post by js » Mon, 13 May 2002 12:40:30

Hi,

On my feedback page I want to have people either send me
recipe's, comment on my web site, or products, or company
etc.  I want the customer to see a separate confirmation
page for each category in the pull down menu i.e. if
someone sends me a recipe, I want them to receive a page
that says something like " Thank you for your recipe
submission.  It will be posted shortly".  Or if they
comment on my site I would want them to receive a message
that says "Thank you for your comments on my website.
Your opinions are important to us" etc., etc.  How do I
set this up?  Is it possible?  A step by step instruction
would be greatly appreciated.  Any help would be
appreciated

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

Not possible if using the FP Form Handler. The easiest approach is to just
create individual forms for each purpose.

However it can be done if using ASP/VBScript, PHP or CGI-Perl to process your
form data, and will requires you to have some knowledge of the language
selected, as you would need to write the process.

1. Custom Confirmation Form/Default Confirmation Form

In FP2k, I have created a custom confirmation form.  It is called from
an ASP form and it works fine.

The problem is that after the custom confirmation form appears, the
default form appears.  The ASP form is in a smaller new window (on top
of my main page) and the custom confirmation form appears in that same
smaller window; that is just the way I want it.  The default
confirmation form appears in the full window underneath the smaller
window.

How do I prevent the default form appearance?

Thanks,

Brooks Clayton
