Cell within a table

Cell within a table

Post by David Fric » Wed, 23 Sep 1998 04:00:00

Is it possible to place a border around a single cell within a table that
has the borders turned off?

I can't seem to get this to work using just the cell and table properties.

I guess one way would be to place a single cell table with borders turned on
within the cell that needed borders.  But is there an easier way?

Thanks,
Dave

You can do this with the "style" button, but it may not work when viewed in
Netscape.  How about a 1-cell table inside that cell, with that table's
borders on?

Cell within a table

Dave,
Right now there is no way to specify a border in a single cell other
then inserting another tble into the cell.  Unfortunately, the border style
and size only pertain to the table as a whole and isn't broken down at the
cell level.

        Hope this helps,

1. table within table cell: cell borders showing

I have formatted many pages with a table making up cells to enter text,
photos, etc.  I put a table into one of the cells, and in viewing on
Microsoft 4.0, the borders of the cell are displayed in a think black
line.  I have been unsuccessful in changing color settings for tables,
cells, borders, or backgrounds.

Netscape 4.06 doesn't show these lines around the cell.  Can anyone help
me?
