Design workshop

Goal: To bring together software developers, educators, managers, and
researchers in a forum for the discussion of the state of the art
in object oriented analysis, design, and implementation. Topics
include but are not limited to: success's and failures, design
techniques, language experiences, object oriented metrics,
managing the object oriented development process, and research
directions in object technology. Postiton papers should be
specific enough to describe your beliefs about, and thoughts on,
your specific topic.
How to Participate: Inform either Jean or Steve of your intent to participate
by March 19th.
Then submit a 1-3 page position paper to Jean Scholtz
no later than April 2.
Cost: about $15. This will include parking, coffee and rolls, lunch
(specify any dietary requirements when you notify
the organizers about participating), and copies of position
papers and summaries of the discussion
Proposed agenda: 9:00 coffee and rolls
distribute position papers
informal discussions
9:30 -12 20 minute presentations by participants
12-1 lunch
1 -3 working session - the participants will
address the directions that should be taken in
development, education and research.
Specific issues that should be addressed will
be defined and prioritized.
