Hi there,

I want to fill Form-Fields of a PDF-Form from a Database. The PDF-Form is
on an Webserver (IIS) and I want to use ASP (ActiveServerPages) or PHP.

Is there any way to do this?

Jochen

Dear Jochen,

It is possible to use to ASP to populate the form fields in the PDF
template.  each record or set of records can be populated in a
template and can be saved as different as .fdf file. pl. do visit the
adobe's website for FDF toolkit which can be downloaded for free.

the fdf dlls need to be registered on the web server.  I have done it
for my prev employer.

you should be able to do a createObject ("fdf..."); there are sample
codes available on the internet.

good luck
Ravi.

Also check out the Adobe FDFToolkit, which is available at no charge on
their site.

It provides methods for creating and manipulating FDF files with ActiveX
components. Works well with VBScript in ASP, and should work just as well
with Javascript.

In my previous response, I wrote "Yes" when I should have written:

"No. You can, however, save the form data, importing it back into the form
when work is to be resumed."
