What is "the magic number?"   I know it's the length interval that
twited pair cables should be, but I can't find what it is...

also, what are the issues as to how to crimp on an rj-45 to a tp cable?
(such that it adheres to cat5?

i.e.:  where the heck can I read the cat5 specification?
