100 Base PCI 1.x compliant NIC ?

100 Base PCI 1.x compliant NIC ?

Post by Frank Goodric » Mon, 14 Jun 1999 04:00:00

I'm trying to network 3 computers, one of which is an older NEC P120 W95.

The computer does not recognize the card I bought for it, & I have
determined that it is because the card is
PCI v 2.1 compliant. The computer motherboard will only recognize PCI v. 1.x

I need a 100 base card that is 1.x compliant, preferably PCI. ISA would be
OK.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Frank.

1. 100 base TX hub uplink to 100 base T switch

Hi,

I have a question to all technicians involve with LAN. Can you uplink a
100baseTX hub to a 100baseT switch in one of the ports? What kind of a
effect will this have on the network?  Does this work?  I need to know  for
a customer I know.
