linksys router heat problems

Anybody else having problems with a Linksys befsx41   router/switch/vpn box?
Last year when I set up a pair of these, I have the Linksys  box sitting on
top of my cable modem, and had failures after about an hour. Spreading them
out has been ok ever since. Now at the other end (in the office) it is quite
warm in the util room (no AC on yet) and I have had weird network things of
Win 98 machine not seeing xp machine in a shared network. I put a
thermometer on top of the Linksys box and got 95 degrees F, tried multiple
restarts of everything, but no help.
I put a fan next to the Linksys (temp on top went down to 82 degrees) ,
restarted and everything has been ok for a couple of days.
Anyone else have similar problems?

1. Cisco 678 DSL Router / Linksys BEFVP41 VPN Router Problem

I am trying to configure a Linksys BEFVP41 VPN Router behind a Cisco 678 DSL
Router on my home network so that I can create a VPN tunnel between my
laptop and my home network when I am on the road.

I have configured NAT in the Cisco router to forward everything to the
Linksys router using 'set nat entry add 10.0.0.2'.

When I try to use the Win 98 L2TP/IPSec VPN Client to connect to the VPN
Router, it doesn't connect.  Here is the trace from the isakmp.log
file on the Windows 98 machine:

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
