Automation Testing Tool

Post by geet.. » Sat, 01 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Hi everyone,
I am bringing automation into a totally manual
environment. My Company is looking for an automated regression,
functional testing tool for Visual Foxpro Application.
Is there something like Mercury Interactive tool, Visual
Test or Segue Software's Silkeffect that will accomodate Visual Foxpro
programs?.

Thanks
Geetha

I am a Visual FoxPro and Visual Test programmer.  It is very difficult to test
the VFP GUI because it uses "painted controls".  As a result Visual Test can
only recognize the main window/form and not the objects contained within it
(buttons edit boxes etc).  Therefore you must resort to PLAY statements which
direct mouse clicks at XY coordinates.

It is difficult to find a testing tool for the VFP GUI.

Hi,
try looking at Vermont Hightest, they are offering XZ coordinates mouse
clicks. I have started looking at their product and it looks reasonable -
especially price wise. see them at www.vtsoft.com
