Job title: MESSAGE-PASSING TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential responsibilities  
   * Development and management of product test plans and test
        metrics for HP message-passing products.
   * Development of test software for HP's message-passing products.
   * Port and maintenance of third-party message-passing test codes.
   * Design and implementation of automated test methodology.
Marginal Responsibilities
   * Participate in product design and documentation review.
   * Investigate and apply novel approaches to product quality.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:

MUSTS:
   * B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering  or related discipline.  
   * 1 year experience doing software test or software development.
   * Strong knowledge of Unix programming, FORTRAN, and C.
   * Familiarity with parallel programming concepts.
   * Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

DESIRED:
   * M.S. in Computer Science.
   * Direct experience designing and/or implementating message-passing
     applications, or developing test software for complex products.
   * Experience with Fortran 90, C++, Perl,  PVM and/or MPI.
   * Experience developing tests for parallel or distributed systems.
