Must have experience building at least two SCM shops from the ground
up. Design, implementation, and maintenance of tailored configuration
management process to support Retail Web development. Identify,
develop and maintain new tools to support software build automation,
configuration management and release management processes. Automate
and manage daily web, server and/or client software builds on
multi-platform systems. Includes prioritizing builds and working with
developers, testers, and system administrators to resolve problems.
Source code management including branching, merging, and resolving
conflicts, building object code and resolving compilation failures,
creating installation packages, and delivering code for migration
across development environments.
Minimum 3-4 years experience providing configuration management
support of web based or client/server applications. Hands on
experience implementing and maintaining version control processes to
support software development efforts (web applications preferred).
Versioning/build tools used are CVS, WinCVS, Jbuilder, GUICommit.
Environment is Unix, WinNT, Win2000. Knowledge of (CGI, HTML,
Javascript, JSP, XML, web servers) and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS,
FTP).
