I think the holonomic organization is pretty silly, but the robot I'm
building is based on the same control structure.  I'm using a Handspring
Visor with the same servo controller board as the PPRK, the Pontech
SV203.  Instead of using manufactured IR sensors I'm using home-brewed
onces for a fraction of the price (they will be boolean however).  My
actuators will be two side wheels with independent control (like a
Khepera or a Nomad).  The main advantage of the Visor of a PalmPilot is
that my robot is going to have vision integrated right into its computer
system using an eyemodule springboard for the Visor.  Pretty slick.

1. Palm Pilot Robot Kit incompatible with handspring visor?

Built the PPRK, and connected the 3 pins that Acroname says to connect from
my (supposedly 100% compatible) handspring visor's serial output cradle to the
Pontech Sv203 serial connector.
I ran the 2 demo programs  from the web: explorer and pen-follow.  Neither
program sucessfully talks to the pontech.  I tested my cable and the three pins
are soldered, with no shorts.  Anybody know if the handspring has different
serial libraries?  Or if the pin out is different? Acroname claims to be
working on it... but said to let them know if I figured it out.  riiight...

appreciate anybody's input on this...
