Problems destroying toolbar and statusbar/finding info on toolbar

Post by Hulemanne » Sun, 07 Apr 1996 04:00:00

I want my program to show the client area full screen at the push of a button, sort of like Visual
C++ 4.0 . To do that I need to either destroy the default toolbar and statusbar or find out how
large the toolbar is, so that I can increase the size of my client area by just the right number of
pixels. Are there functions to do any of this?

You don't need to destroy them, you can just hide them. Then you can put
them back later on if required.

: that I can increase the size of my client area by just the right number of

GetWindowRect orGet ClientRect will do the trick.

1. How do I find out if the user has disabled the statusbar and toolbar in VC40?

How do I find out if the user has disabled statusbar and toolbar?
When creating an app in VC40 using AppWizard with statusbar and toolbar,
the user can hide  'em with menu options.
