Turbo Pascal: Dialogs and transfer buffers

Turbo Pascal: Dialogs and transfer buffers

Question.

I'm reading the information in the TPW 'Wind-Woes Programming Guide' :)
about transfer buffers. Okay, I can handle creating a record for the
transfer buffer, that's simple. Do I have to initialize D2's
objects in the Init method of D1? (that's what it looks like from the
manual.) I know this is a pretty stupid question, and I'll probably be
told to RTFM, but I already did and I just want to clarify what I think
I read...

thanks, Steve

1. INFO REQ: Turbo Pascal/Object Pascal

I am looking to get some information on the object-oriented features of
Object Pascal, comparing it with other object-oriented languages.  I have had
experience with Turbo Pascal 5.5 (which I heard had some roots with Object
Pascal).

I don't know how far Turbo Pascal has come with its current versions OR its
correspondence with Object Pascal.  Additionally, reference material is very
scant (non-existent here) on Object Pascal ... so I was hoping to use
Turbo Pascal as a sort of reference point.

I am hoping that someone out there might have had some experience with Object
Pascal and give me some idea of its features.

Much appreciated - thanks for all your time. :)
