Linux -> Named Pipes -> WinnT

Linux -> Named Pipes -> WinnT

Hi everyone,

we are quite new to linux and samba and have the following problem:

what we got running:

installation of samba (2.0.5a) on Linux (2.2.7)
mounting directories via samba

what we are trying to do (and don't get it done):

on Win/NT (4.0 SP3) we got a server-program, that communicates with the
clients via a named pipe. In the NT-network the access of the named pipe
over the network is no problem (\\ServerName\Pipe\Pipename). Now we want
a linux client to connect to the pipe (for the first trials we just to
try to echo something to the pipe) and send information to the server
running on Win/NT.

We already did some experimentation with the "IPC$" resource of the NT
server - but no success.

How can this be accomplished ?

Any information appreciated.
