Samba 1.9.16p9 and Windows 95 filenames

Post by Robert Drak » Sat, 21 Mar 1998 04:00:00

    Here's a different problem:

Whenever I use programs in Win95 that use the older form of "Open
File" and I try to access a Samba'd Linux share, all the filenames show
up as garbage chars. Is there any way to fix this? Its really
annoying....

1. Windows NT4.0 and Samba 1.9.16p9 HELP (Part 2)!!!

I can finally get connectivity between the NT4.0 client and the BSDI Samba
server but only if I use the server's IP address and even that takes 2-3
minutes!  Here's what I get in my log.smb file (DGNATOWS is the NT client).

Any suggestions as what's wrong with my configuration?
