File viewing with SAMBA & Win95

Hi folks,

Can anyone help me with the following problem :

I am running SAMBA 1.9.15p8 on a Sun Sparc.

I have the following directory tree under UNIX:

                             code
                               |
             ------------------------------------
             |                                   |
           TEST                                 test
             |                                   |
             |                             -------------
            bin                            |            |
                                         docs          src

In Win95 we see the two folders TEST & test under code. If we follow
down from TEST we get to the folder bin, but if we try and enter the
folder test we also only see the folder bin and not docs & src.

Can anyone suggest what the smb.conf file should look like in order to
get the folders to appear properly from Win95 ?

I don't think this is possible because win95 is case insensitive. It does not
distingish between 'test' and 'TEST', like Unix does. It's probably getting
confused by the Samba directory having two directories with the same name.
Try giving 'TEST' a different name.

1. Samba & Win95 & WFW

I have older versions of Samba, it works for WindowsForWorkGroup, but not
Win95, which complains an exported directory in SunOS 4.1.x is uncompatible
resource.

I installed the latest Samba, version 13, which works for Win95, I can mount
an exported directory from SunOS4.1.x as a folder & also as network drive, but
WFW no longer can even get a list of exported directories from the SunOS..

  Thanks for any HELP!
