Samba/Linux 1.3.7x no go

Post by Remco Treffko » Sat, 16 Mar 1996 04:00:00

Alternating between Linux 1.3.61 and 1.3.7x I have no problem with
the former, the latter gives me "Error writing 4 bytes to client. 0. Exiting".
Errno is set to 104 (Connection reset by peer) in smbd.

Samba is version 1.9.15p8. Everything is ELF, libc is 5.2.16.
Gcc is 2.7.2.

Client is Win/95.

Seems like nobody else has this problem, I am stumped.

Thanks,

Remco

I'm running samba-1.9.16alpha1 with kernel 1.3.75. Clients are win3.11
and win95 hosts. Everything works fine.

1. Compiling Samba 15b4 on SunOS4.1.3

Turns out I wasn't using gcc...

Instead, I now get the problem where it doesn't know how to make
addtosmbpass.  Taking it out of the makefile is an easy enough fix,
but I'd rather the whole make went thorugh smoothly.
