Hi, I recently installed corel linux and had the same problem.
I was pissed off so I repeatedly clicked on the stop and refresh
icon at the top right of the corel file manager. And then the
workgroups appeared and I was able to browse the network.
I was able to repeat that by the following steps:
1. Click on Windows Network and put in a password (it won't show
anything on the right).
2. Now just click on the stop and refresh repeatedly and stop
when it says navigation cancelled.
3. The workgroups will appear.
The other thing I remember doing was setting a null samba password
by smbpasswd -a username -n.
I am not sure if it is a bug in corel file manager but you guys can
confirm that I guess.
