I recently repaired my spare +3 using a headphone socket salvaged from a
dead PC CDROM drive. It was quite an old one 8x or 12x if I remember
correctly. It fitted the +3 PCB perfectly and matches the original one
on my other +3 in external experience.
Maplin have gone way downhill and sell a lot of consumer tandy style
*nowadays, but they have a moderate selection of parts. JM23A looks
like what Luca needs ( I haven't verified the exact pin spacing but they
are fairly standard). Cost : about 2 packs of Rollos
If looking for a salvaged socket, it needs to be stereo but DONT BOTHER
looking in anything with its own speakers as the Speccy socket does not
have the extra switch contacts used to switch off internal speakers.
