Post by Geert Dobbelaer » Wed, 11 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi all,

I am looking for a list containing all European code and the line code
they use on the U-interface (4B3T and/or 2B1Q). Can you help me?

Thank you.

German Telecom uses MMS43, a 4B3T family code for both (E)DSS1
and the old national 1TR6 d channel protocol.

Hi Geert,

In Finland we use 2B1Q. I think the other Nordic countries (at least Sweden and Norway) use the
same code.

Hi all,

in the Netherlands at PTT-Telecom 2B1Q coding is used on the
U-interface. Note however that the NT1 is part of the PTT-Telecom
network. You are not supposed to access the U-interface yourself.

Groeten,

Marten

This is the situation in most (all?) of the European countries: NT1 is part of the
network.

Perhaps the questioner was considering manufacture of equipment to offer for
sale to the PTT?

1. 2B1Q 4B3T B6ZS implementation?

Hi there,

I know 2B1Q, 4B3T, B6ZS are line coding schemes,
but could anybody tell me how they are implemented?

I already know the AMI scheme, i.e each 1 is represented
by a pulse of an opposite sign to the previous, and I
know how HDB3 works (MOOV, 000V, etc), but I don't
know about the above. Could somebody please clue me
in?

Regards John
