We have a bunch of Motorola Unix R40V4.2 boxes on a WAN running
sendmail-V8.6.12.

Largish messages ( > 1 Mb) fail to get across our slower links - they
exit at the DATA phase with:

I/O error: Error 0

Has anyone else seen this? These are SVR4 Unix systems if someone wants
to blame sockets ;-) Sometimes these messages manage to sneak through at
night when the links aren't as congested, but most hang around until they
time out after X days. :-(

That "Error 0" is bug in message. I think that message should be "Timeout"
without (non-existing) error-code.
