that caused my problems. As I told: everything worked fine with mutt0.93i.
when trying to rebuild mutt-0.93.2i.tar.gz I run into trouble.
I always used slang 1.02.02 which is AFAIK the latest)

I HAD colour with mutt0.93i on dtterms. I don't have them with any
rebuilt version.
