I have noticed that if I use Pine on our local system and Eudora from
home, that neither regards mail that was marked read by the other. Can
someone suggest how I can synchronize the two programs? This probably
also happens with deletes, but I gave up using Eudora until I can resolve
this.

One possibility is to switch from Eudora to PC Pine for Windows (if
you're on a MS Windows system). Pine has the advantage of being
free, powerful, supports IMAP, has its own newsgroup (comp.mail.pine),
and lots more!
