Looks like you're missing a trailing `.' somewhere
in your DNS files...

There's no `.' on the end so the address is local
and is therefore qualified by appending the local
domain.

sendmail replaces

That's good.

But when I directly do the statement

Try adding a "." to the end of the left-side definition in your MX
records. This will keep sendmail from tagging the local domain on the
end.

1. IP Masquerading problem?

Hi,

I have a 486-66 running Slackware96(2.0.29). My problem is when sending
mail using 'EXMH' I get the error

Denied' I've been able to use 'FETCHMAIL' to retrieve my mail at my ISP,
but when I try to send mail to myself(just testing) at my ISP it won't
work. I'm using 'SENDMAIL' as my tranfer agent(?). I'm not quite sure if
I need to do something about IP Masquerading? My user name and hostname
on my home machine is different the my ISP. What is IP Masquerading
exactly? Is my problem that my ISP doesn't recognize my machine

email? Is this what IP Masq. is all about?

When I use Netscape, I can send and retirve email with no problems, but
I would like to use another app. for email sending and retrieving.

Thanks.
