Trashing "out" messages instead of saving

Post by Ben Las » Thu, 18 Jun 1998 04:00:00

Help!!

I have a user who is using Eudora Light Mac 3.1.3, and his outgoing
messages are going into the Trash mailbox instead of the Out mailbox,
even though he has "Keep copies of outgoing mail" checked (under
"Checking Mail" settings).

We have looked at all other settings, and they seem to be OK. Anyone
experience this?

Thanks in Adavance for your help.

Turn on Baloon Help & check out the icons across the top of a "new
message" form.  There's one up there that looks like two sheets of paper.
If it's checked, the outgoing message is kept in the "out" mailbox. If not
checked, it's trashed.

hope this helps,  Bob H.

That is *exactly* the problem I was having (see my thread above in the
list),and no one told me to do that, although i must say a few people
were *very*helpful and sent me long emails, but nothing doing. So i too
will try this and keep you posted.

Although Baloon Help doesn't say anything when it goes over the 2
sheets, i was still able to locate the 2 sheets (on the right) and they
*are* checked, so there must be another reason.

1. "_" instead of " " when saving

Hi there: guess all of you receive those dreadful MS-format attachements
from time to time and ever more often they come with corrupted filenames
containing spaces. Of course, I can change the filename when saving it
(and I even know how to deal with filenames containing spaces) but
recently I saw that gnapster has an option to automagically convert those
annoying spaces into "_"s. Does pine have a similar feature that I have so
far overlooked or could we ask for it ???
