I got a 4400 usb scanner today and i upgraded from a 3100 scanner of 2 years
which was very reliable and fun. I sold the 3100 to my brother and got this one
due to it being USB. My question is why wont my scanner light go out when i
exit the paperport software? it stays on for 30 min, i have looked for the file
to turn it to one minute but it dont exist in my windows files? Anyone can
shed some light on this for me i would apprecitate it alot. TIA

Paperport isn't the TWAIN interface, it's just a gateway to it.

1. FU661E is Visioneer 4400 USB
I have found out the manufacturer of my scanner as i need updated drivers
however since downloading them it requires the visioneer pnp driver cd
(which i dont have only restore cd from Tiny) I do not want to reload the
whole system. Any ideas on what to do.
My problem is that when i scan the image turns up black but you can see
the image behind. Is it an indication that my scanner is broke; only used
less than 10 times but it is out of warranty (12 months).
Any replies appreciated to get my scanner working again.
