What are the SQL tables in the SMS 2.0 SQL database?

What are the SQL tables in the SMS 2.0 SQL database?

Post by Martin Goodin » Wed, 07 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Silly question, I want to query the SMS database via SQL queries either in
Access or something like that.

Where can I find any information on the SQL tables in the SMS database and
their relationships?

Thanks for any help,

I find the best way to do this is set up the ODBC to the site
database, go into Access and link to all the tables. Then poke through
them and get a feel for what is going on. Most of the tables about
hardware match up with the hardware categories in the Resource
Explorer. It's actually really easy to build decent queries against
it. Especially now under SQL7 that that 15 table join limit seems to
be gone (I could be wrong here).

Hi

With SMS there ships a resource kit In this resource kit is an exell
Spreadsheet with a build in macro that enables you to Connect to the SQL
Database and the queries they contain. If you have defined the SQL queries
you can run it trough exell. Should you require this file please notify so
that I might send it.
