TMS320C50 C compiler

Post by Massimiliano Di Pent » Sun, 23 Aug 1998 04:00:00

I'm a student of the university of Sannio, in Italy. I'm developing (with
other friends of mine) software for TMS320C50 DSK. Since i have to implement
some quite complex algorithms, i prefer using C rather than assembly. So i
tried to use the DSPCL C compiler.
And now the problem: the COFF file generated doesn't seem to work fine,
particulary in the AIC communication (something goes wrong when the AIC
initialization function is executed).
If someone has already worked with this compiler, please answer my message!!
Thank You

It could be that your loader wants the old version of COFF file format
and the compiler generates the new version. Try putting a "-v0" option
in the link (last) section of the compiler command.

1. TMS320C50 C Compiler Problem

Hi,all.

I wrote short C code with float array sized 256.

But my c compiler doesn't look support that sized float array.

If someone know that, please let me know.

At my program, I declare my variable like this

float a[256] ;

then when I faced this error message like this

LALK    FL-128 (AN IDENTIFIER IN THE EXPRESSION IS INVALD)  <---+
                                                                |
and finally                                                     |
                                                                |-> From
screen
The following symbols are undefined :                       <---+
  FL                                                        <---+

I don't know what's wrong because If I change float array to integer
array,

then there is no problem.

So I supposed compiler doesn't support this sized float array.

Did I missed somthing or should I have to consider more that still I
didn't

recognize.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
