I just tried to make an installation of the Client32 v. 2.11 from the
network (95enu_n2.exe downloaded from Novell)
As mentioned in the Novell information document, I placed the file on the
server, extracted the new version and run the .\English\Setup.exe (first
error in document, the setup file was not in the root as indicated).
The installation started Ok, but soon messages about missing DLL files etc.
was seen and messages like: please insert windows95 CDROM and please insert
Novell CDROM. I have a Win95 CDROM but that didn't work, and of course I
don't have a Novell Client32 CDROM because the version is downloaded.
Many of the missing files is already in my C:\Windows\System directory so I
selected SKIP but this was not possible reaching the PrtWin95.DLL file
(which is actually also on my C drive at the moment).
What a mess !! No Connection to the server now !!
After a couple of reboots etc. I was able to re-install my Client32 beta
(diskette) version, dated 12/12/95 and this works as far as I know, but it
would like to be able to install from the server and use the latest version
if it works.
I am running Netware 4.10.
Any good ideas ??
Best regards
