Novell - Want to setup Exchange Server on a Novell system

Post by Edward Christens » Tue, 04 Aug 1998 04:00:00

I know that it is possible to have a TCP/IP network working on the
same system as Novell, however, is it possible to have Microsoft
Exchange Server running on a Win 95 system and still have the rest of
the network work through that system for Internal and Internet e-mail?

Thanks.

You can have them on the same network but Exchange will have to run on a
NT Server. It doesn't run on Win95.

I am not exactly sure If I got your question right but here goes.

If you mean, can you have a Novell file server and a NT Exchange server both
running on the same network wiring and have the Win 95 workstations access
both the Novell and Exchange servers at the same time, the answer is Yes.

1. Exchange VS novell /setup

Hi

Need some help here.

Problem: I`m installing an new exchangeserver on nt4 domeneserver.
in the existing network, the logon server is novell 4.10
then i login to the network i can do this 2 ways,
1 if i use intranetware client as primary network login , i have to write
usernam/domene/password into outlook, for id on exchangeserver.
2 if i use client for microsoft network, and log`s into ntserver, i get
another question about password then the intaranetware client starts (have
to write the password for login 2 times, even if the password is the same)
I allso tryed to use microsoft client for netware, but then i can not login
to tree......(big problem)
so my question, how to avoid typing password twice ?, and get access to the
network, in both the os???

Please replay me in e-mail, or in news

Regards, and tnx from
