Exchange can't push some recipients to UNIX news server

Post by Valer » Thu, 18 Nov 1999 04:00:00

    Hi to All!!!

  I've installed newsfeed on Exchange 5.5 SP2. Everything works fine.
Messages are pushed to UNIX news server succesfully, except messages from
one user(actualy it's me). Reason is clear: fields FROM and SENDER are
devided in to two lines.

Newsgroups: Documents.Prikaz
From: =?koi8-r?Q?=F7=C1=CC=C5=D2=C1_=FB=C5=D7=DE=C5=CE=CB=CF?=

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - error reason
Subject: =?koi8-r?Q?Test_=D3=CE=CF=D7=C1_=DE=C5=D2=C5=DA_Exchange?=

Sender: =?koi8-r?Q?=F7=C1=CC=C5=D2=C1_=FB=C5=D7=DE=C5=CE=CB=CF?=

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - error reason
Date: Tue, 16 Nov 1999 16:25:41 +0300
MIME-Version: 1.0
Lines: 6
Content-Type: text/html;
charset="koi8-r"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

How can I solve this problem?
As client for posting messages I use OL98, as some other users.

Valera.

    Try using a different character set, like US-ASCII, or something
similar.

Hi Amiri!

You mean different character set in display name?
It's good solution, bat my naitive language - Russian, and users like
Russian names, so I have to find another way. As I understand, main reason
of error - too long field FROM or SENDER. May be I can change ecoding from
quoted-printable to 8 bit, so the lenghs will be less.
Any ideas!!!
