   Hi,

Can someone please explain to me how to set up Eudora Light to talk to
Exchange. I would be most grateful for any help on this.

Thanks inadvance.

The format for Eudora is:

For example:
Domain Name: Orange
NT User Name: John
Exchange Alias: JohnB
Server Name: NTSERVER
Domain: home.com

I have the same problem ....

It work fine with Netscape Mail
But I got this msg when using Eudora ....

----------------------------------------------------------
16:15.0 Connecting to the Mail Server...
64:15.51 Rcvd: "220 exchange.nrgpr.com Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail
Service 5.0.1458.49 ready\r\n"

32:15.51 Sent: "HELO sdc\r\n"
64:15.51 Rcvd: "250 OK\r\n"
16:15.51 Messages left to send: 1
16:15.51 RSET
32:15.51 Sent: "RSET\r\n"
64:15.51 Rcvd: "250 OK - Reset\r\n"

32:15.51 Sent: "MAIL FROM:<Nrgdomain/Roger

64:15.51 Rcvd: "553 malformed address: <Nrgdomain/Roger

8:15.51 Dialog: "There has been an error transferring your mail.  I
said:\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "    MAIL FROM:<Nrgdomain/Roger

8:15.51 Dialog: "\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "and then the SMTP server (exchange.nrgpr.com) said:\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "\r\n"
8:15.51 Dialog: "    553 malformed address: <Nrgdomain/Roger Huang/roge"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Why the address been cut ?

Is this ISP problem or the Exchange problem, but it work fine with Netscape
Mail.

Using the following only work with Netscape Mail but not for Eudora.

Because there's a space between "Roger" and "Huang".

Neither one. Your address is not in compliance with RFC822.

Perhaps Netscape is replacing the space with another character or
protecting the space by replacing it with something else or
recognizing the need to protect the whole string with quotes and
changing your login to:

1. Using Eudora - Getting Exchange Errors

I cannot retrieve mail using Eudora - Macintosh from our exchange server --
get a "Server nor responding" error.  Outlook works fine, but I prefer using
Eudora.  I can however get my mail using Eudora via my Dial-up ISP........
the problem is when I'm connected via our office network.  Any ideas????
Thanks!!
