Writing custom Exchange IM client app using WebDAV

Writing custom Exchange IM client app using WebDAV

Post by Jack » Wed, 07 Aug 2002 03:24:26

Hi!

I'm trying to write an "ExchangeIM-like" app which only has the
display notification (toast) feature of Exchange IM (no contact list,
no presence info).  User logs on to this app with their Exchange IM
credentials and the app will start listening to notifications being
sent to this user.  When a notification is received, this app displays
a toast (just like Exchange IM displays a toast when someone from your
buddy list becomes online).  I'm trying to write this app using
WebDAV... does anyone have any code sample or suggestions?

Thanks,
Jackie

1. setting datatype of a custom property using WebDav

Hi Paquitos!

When I create this custom property (newproperty) using this webdav
expression, the datatype of it is "string"

<?xml version="1.0"?><a:propertyupdate xmlns:a="DAV:"
xmlns:b="tat:ponto:"><a:set><a:prop><b:newproperty>newpropertyvalue</b:newpr
operty></a:prop></a:set></a:propertyupdate>

I need to set another datatypes in my custom properties (but I have to use
WebDav) like "boolean", "mv.string", "int", "dateTime.tz", and so on.

Anybody knows how can I do this?

Tks!
