Broadcasts for MTA

Broadcasts for MTA

Post by Mitch Skrov » Sat, 07 Apr 2001 20:38:42

Native W2K and Native E2K environment.  Seven E2K servers, two 2 node clusters with one EVS on each node.  I have disabled the MTA service on the E2K server.  My understanding is they are not required for this configuration.  The system has been operational for server months. Question?

Why are the servers broadcasting name queries for the MTA every second, see below.  How can I stop this behavior without starting the MTA service?  I would rather not have services running that are not required.

Thanks much!
Mitch
