Server-side rules, one time only problem

Server-side rules, one time only problem

Post by Duncan Murra » Thu, 31 Jan 2002 01:05:34

When using server-side rules with Exchange 5.5 and Outlook
2000 to send an email to the sender when an external email
arrives in the mailbox (this is without the client
running) Exchange will only send it once to that
recepient !? this is unless the rule is stopped and then
restarted or the exchange services are stopped and then
restarted.

Can anybody help ?

This is the Out of Office message? If so, that is by product design.

1. Client Side Rule Conflict with Exchange Server Side Rules

When I try to create rules to automatically
Rule One
1) Check messages after they are received against
Contacts in my Outlook 2002 Contact List (local)
then "stop processing more rules" if there IS A MATCH

2) The UNCONDITIONALLY move any message that fails to
match to a "SPAM" folder

LOCAL Rule number 1) above stops SERVER SIDE rule number
2) from running EVER!

Anyone know how to either Automatically store the
Outlook 2002 Contact List (local) on the SERVER
so that ALL server rules Apply.

By the way, if the two rules are applied as LOCAL rules
against an Internet E-Mail server they work properly

Thanks in Advance for any ideas
