Moved mailbox, LOST all Schedule files!

Post by Lannie Schafro » Thu, 31 Jul 1997 04:00:00

All,

I copied all of our user's mailboxes to individual PST files then moved
that data to a NEW Exchange 5.0 server.  During this process, the user's
who use Schedule lost all their data.  Where is this data stored and how
do I get it back?

Lannie,

I'm afraid you have to do the same you did with PST to the schedule SCD
files:

-> Install old Exchange Server on a spare server
-> Restore the Database
-> Export the Users Schedule Data from the Server to individual .SCD files
-> Import these Files to the new Exchange Server

The Schedule+ data is stored in a hidden folder in the mailbox, which would
not have been copied when you copied the mailbox to a PST.  That's why you
lost it.  You need to use Schedule+ to download the data to a file, and
then upload that to the new mailbox.

Since the original Exchange server 4.0 is GONE, how do I do this?

If you cannot restore the old mailboxes from the previous server onto a
system somewhere, I think you are out of luck (not 100% certain, but sure
enough to find the prospect depressing).
