How can I check whether SSL imap is working on Ex5.5. We have a valid secure
key installed on our exchange 5.5 server. We are using the same key for all
protocols. (https, pop, ldap, imap).
https is working just fine. ie users can connect to the Outlook web client
using a secure browser connection so the key is ok.
imap is also working. Users can send and retreive messages from the same ex
server using imap.pop is also working.
When telneting to the ex server on port 143 I see an imap prompt.
Despite SSL authentication being enabled for the imap protocol and a valid
key showing under key manager when I telnet to port 993 on the ex server I
see nothing. The telnet session connects to the port (ie the port exists)
but disconnects at the first carriage return.
I have full logging for the imap protocol on the ex server but never see an
incoming conection. I do see an incoming connection when I use plain imap
How can I trace SSL imap on an ex server?
Is there anything I have to enable anywhere else (IIS??) to get port 993 SSL
imap to work?
