Synchronizing passwords between Novell and NT domains

Synchronizing passwords between Novell and NT domains

Post by M. Stark » Fri, 31 Aug 2001 00:50:19

Though not specifically an Exchange question, can someone please point me in
the direction of some resources for learning how to seamlessly synchronize
these passwords?  Users would like to have one login (the Novell domain) and
not have to login to the NT domain (used for e-mail) seperately.  They seem
to get confused when passwords expire.  Thanks.

I should have mentioned that I looked at that, but for a 500 user license it
is $13,000.  Doh!

1. Exchange 5.5 IMC don't synchronize password with NT

I have an Exchange 5.5 SP4 running on WinNT 4.0 as a BDC in an AD domain.
It is running for one year, but for a week or so if I change a users
password in Active Directory Exchange isn't updating the password for the
user so the user has to use the new password to authenticate to domain but
the old password for Internet mail.

Does anyone knows why?

Thank you,
