sending internet and intranet mail

sending internet and intranet mail

Post by circ.. » Thu, 19 Aug 1999 04:00:00

We have MS Exchange 5.5 and everything works
great except for one user. When the user sends
email to the internet and also internally on the
same message, the internet goes out fine but he
gets undeliverable on the internal mail
recepients.
I do this from my PC and the mail works fine
sending internet and internal. I checked setting
in exchange and it is setup the same as mine. We
both have NT Servers 4.0 with the latest service
patches (5).

The user is my boss, so if anyone has any ideal I
would be greatful.

Please email me direct.

Thank you,

Brandon Kamp

1. Sending to intranet and internet addresses.

Hi,
I'm not sure which group to post this but this one seemed promising.

Anyway I have a program that sends email using mapi and it worked fine on
exchange
5.5 able to send (via smtp) to both intranet and internet addresseses (e.g.

intranet addresses ( e.g. bob_jones ).. Exchange 5.5 used to translate them
(I figure using the directory service) but now with the Active Directory
(exchange 2000), it's not able to find the intranet addresses..

anyone know a fix? I'd like to still use smtp and not do ldap in the
program..

thanks for the help!
